MoneyHash has partnered with Oman’s Thawani Pay to add local payment gateway access and PCI DSS compliant processing for merchants using its platform.
MoneyHash said on April 22, 2026 that it has partnered with Thawani Pay, a Central Bank of Oman regulated payments provider, to extend MoneyHash payment orchestration coverage in Oman.
MoneyHash, a payment orchestration platform, is adding Thawani Pay as a local option for merchants operating in Oman.
Payment orchestration means a business connects once to a layer that can route payments to different providers, instead of building and maintaining separate integrations for each payment gateway.
MoneyHash said the tie-up lets merchants access Thawani Pay’s local gateway services while keeping consistent reporting and operations across other markets.
Thawani Pay was founded in 2016 and is licensed by the Central Bank of Oman. MoneyHash positioned the partnership as part of a strategy to deepen local coverage in the country, alongside its existing network of payment providers.
The companies also highlighted PCI DSS compliance. PCI DSS is a security standard for handling card payment data, similar to a set of strict rules for storing and transmitting sensitive card details.
For African and MENA operators expanding into Oman, payments are often a rebuild. Local rules, local processors, and different payment flows can force engineering teams to maintain multiple code paths.
A payment orchestration layer can reduce that work by centralising routing logic, provider selection, and monitoring. It can also improve reliability by allowing merchants to switch providers when one has downtime, assuming alternatives exist in the market.
MoneyHash said its network includes 350+ connections, 150+ payment methods, and coverage across 40+ markets. Adding Thawani Pay strengthens its position for merchants that need local acceptance in Oman without losing cross-border consistency.
