Kredete has acquired Gravv to bring stablecoin settlement, FX, routing, and reconciliation in-house, and open its rails to banks and developers.
Kredete announced on September 21, 2026 that it has acquired Gravv. Kredete is a fintech focused on emerging-market and diaspora users who need to move money across borders.
Gravv builds stablecoin infrastructure. Stablecoins are crypto tokens designed to hold a steady price, usually pegged to the US dollar, so they can be used like digital cash for payments and settlement.
Kredete said the acquisition gives it more control over the layer between customers and banking partners. That includes stablecoin settlement, multi-currency accounts, foreign exchange, liquidity management, payment routing, and reconciliation, which is matching transactions across systems so records agree.
Gravv connects banks, blockchain networks, and local payment rails through one integration. It also includes an “agentic” layer, meaning software that can make operational decisions in real time, like choosing the best payment route, monitoring liquidity, managing FX conversions, and reconciling transfers.
Kredete said Gravv has processed more than $3 billion in annualized volume for over 1,000 businesses across 100+ countries, supported by seven global banking partners. Kredete also said it is now opening Gravv to new businesses and developers beyond its existing customer base.
For African and diaspora-focused fintechs, cross-border payments often rely on multiple vendors for FX, banking access, compliance workflows, and payouts. That creates complexity, higher costs, and more points of failure.
By owning more of the payments and settlement stack, Kredete can potentially improve reliability and speed for real-time global money movement. It can also package the infrastructure as a platform for other institutions building cross-border products in emerging markets.
The move also signals rising demand for stablecoin-based settlement as a back-end rail, especially where traditional correspondent banking is slow or expensive. If Kredete can attract banks and developers to build on Gravv, it could become a key middleware layer for multi-rail payments across fiat and blockchain networks.
