inDrive and Vezeeta will fund free breast cancer screenings for 100 women drivers in Egypt during Pink October, aiming to boost preventive care access.
inDrive is partnering with Vezeeta to provide free breast cancer screenings for 100 women drivers in Egypt during Pink October.
inDrive said it has teamed up with Vezeeta to offer free breast cancer screenings to 100 women drivers on its platform in Egypt.
The program is timed for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, often called Pink October. It focuses on preventive healthcare, which means checking for illness early, before symptoms get worse.
inDrive Egypt country manager Alaa Shalaby said the company wants its driver support to go beyond flexible income options. He pointed to inDrive’s pricing model, where riders and drivers can agree on fares directly.
Vezeeta Chief Corporate Development Officer Choucri Asmar said the partnership fits the company’s focus on access to quality healthcare and women’s empowerment. Vezeeta’s platform includes doctor bookings, teleconsultations (video or phone doctor visits), home visits, and lab and diagnostic tests.
For ride hailing and gig work, drivers often have irregular schedules, which can make clinic visits harder. Offering screenings through a platform partnership can reduce that friction and make preventive care easier to take up.
It also shows how mobility apps and health tech platforms can work together on driver welfare, not just earnings. If the pilot sees strong participation, similar programs could expand to more drivers, other cities, or other health screenings in Egypt.
