Enza raised $6 million in a Seed+ round led by 4DX Ventures, with British International Investment joining and prior backers increasing commitments.
Enza has raised $6 million in a Seed+ funding round led by 4DX Ventures. The company said it will use the capital to expand into new African markets and strengthen digital payment services for banks and financial technology companies across the continent.
The round included British International Investment (BII), the United Kingdom’s development finance institution, as a new investor. Enza also said existing investors Quona Capital and Algebra Ventures, which jointly led its seed funding round in 2025, increased their financial commitments.
Enza provides payment technology for banks and fintechs. It offers a unified infrastructure platform that helps institutions modernise operations, manage multiple payment channels, and improve transaction processing.
Enza said its tools let financial institutions upgrade payment capabilities while keeping control of merchant relationships and business data. It also positions its product as a way to deal with challenges from outdated payment infrastructure, as more consumers and businesses adopt different digital transaction methods.
Group Chief Executive Officer Hany Fekry said participation from both existing and new investors showed confidence in Enza’s progress and its ability to support financial institutions across Africa.
Enza’s pitch targets banks that still rely on older payment systems, which the company said can be expensive and difficult to modernise. It aims to help banks introduce new payment services without rebuilding their entire infrastructure.
4DX Ventures managing partner Daniel Marlo pointed to a growing gap between modern payment requirements and existing banking infrastructure. BII said modern payment infrastructure can reduce transaction costs, improve access to financial services, and support small and medium-sized businesses.
Enza said the funding strengthens its financial position as it expands its geographic footprint and deepens relationships with financial institutions.
