DStv is introducing four new packages in Tanzania from 5 November 2026, with new names, updated channels, new pricing and phased migration.
DStv is introducing new packages in Tanzania from 5 November 2026. The update includes new package names, revised channel lineups, a new Sports package, updated pricing, and automatic migration for some customers.
DStv says it will roll out four core packages in Tanzania.
The packages are Starter, Select, Sports, and Ultimate. DStv lists the packages as Starter with 116+ channels from TZS15 000 per month, Select with 150+ channels from TZS25 000 per month, Sports with 159+ channels from TZS50 000 per month, and Ultimate with 180+ channels from TZS118 000 per month.
DStv says that, for the first time, it has a Sports package as well as a Movies and Series package. It says the Movies and Series package includes everything available to Select and Starter subscribers.
DStv also outlined sports positioning across tiers. It says Starter focuses on LaLiga and Kickoff channels, Select adds Serie A and WWE, and Sports adds every match of the Premier League and Champions League, plus combat sports including UFC and EFC, athletics, cycling, and the Tour de France.
DStv says customers will be migrated to the new packages from 5 November, and the new packages will also be available to new subscribers.
It says the migration is being implemented in phases. DStv adds that even if an account shows an old package name, customers will still receive any new channels.
The change resets DStv’s packaging in Tanzania around four tiers, with a dedicated Sports option and updated monthly pricing. For subscribers, the most immediate impact is the phased migration and the new price points tied to each package tier.
