Cassava Technologies added NVIDIA Nemotron AI models to its AI Factory via CAIMEx, aiming to expand AI access for African businesses and developers.
Cassava Technologies has expanded its AI infrastructure by adding NVIDIA’s Nemotron AI models to its AI Factory. The models will be available through the Cassava AI Multi-Model Exchange (CAIMEx).
Cassava Technologies said it is incorporating NVIDIA’s Nemotron AI models into its AI Factory, with the goal of increasing access to advanced AI capabilities for businesses and developers across Africa.
The company is making Nemotron available through CAIMEx, which it describes as a platform that lets organisations access multiple AI models through application programming interfaces, APIs (a way for software to talk to other software).
Cassava said this expansion gives businesses more options to deploy AI-powered applications without needing to invest in their own large-scale computing infrastructure.
NVIDIA’s Nemotron models support advanced reasoning, automated workflows, and interactions with digital tools. Cassava said these capabilities can be used for customer service, business process automation, software development, and enterprise information management.
Cassava is also adding NVIDIA OpenShell technology to support more controlled execution of AI agents, especially when automated systems interact with business software and sensitive information. It is also adding token optimisation technology, which is designed to reduce repeated processing of previously analysed information.
Cassava said the token optimisation feature is intended to improve computing efficiency and potentially lower operating costs for some AI workloads. It added that financial benefits will depend on workload complexity, customer usage patterns, and the pricing arrangements applied to individual services.
The move comes as African businesses increasingly explore AI for productivity improvements, operational efficiency, and digital service delivery.
Cassava said access to locally available AI infrastructure could help organisations that do not have the resources to deploy sophisticated AI systems independently. The company also flagged that affordability, reliable connectivity, data protection, and technical expertise remain key considerations for AI adoption.
Cassava Technologies operates across connectivity, cloud services, data centres, and financial technology, and said the Nemotron integration adds to the AI services available through its existing infrastructure.
