Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission says CAC users can now pay directly on the iCRP portal via ReVOps, streamlining company registration fees.
Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has added a direct payment option on its iCRP portal. The new flow runs via ReVOps.
The CAC says users can now pay for services directly on its Intelligent Company Registration Portal (iCRP) using ReVOps.
Direct payment means the fee is completed inside the CAC portal, instead of sending users to separate payment steps or relying on manual confirmation. For founders and company secretaries, this typically covers common filings like name reservations, business registration, and post-incorporation changes.
ReVOps acts as the payment layer, which is the system that processes transactions and confirms payment status back to the portal. In simple terms, it is the “checkout” that helps the CAC know a payment has been made.
Digital government services often fail at the payment step, where users face broken links, delayed confirmation, or mismatched references. A direct payment integration can reduce failed transactions and speed up service delivery because payment status can be verified automatically.
For startups and SMEs registering in Nigeria, faster confirmation can shorten the time between submitting an application and getting documents processed. It can also reduce reliance on middlemen who charge extra to help applicants navigate payment issues.
This update also adds to the broader push toward digitising public services in Nigeria, where agencies are trying to improve online access, audit trails, and revenue collection through more trackable electronic payments.
