Glovo will host its Future of Commerce Summit 2.0 in Lagos on April 22, 2026. Glovo says the event will bring together government, founders, and operators to discuss Nigeria’s digital commerce and logistics market.
Glovo announced the second edition of its Future of Commerce Summit, scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, 2026. The event will hold at the Landmark Events Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The company said it expects attendance from government stakeholders and policymakers, plus entrepreneurs and industry leaders. The agenda is set to focus on emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in commerce and logistics.
Reni Onafeko, Interim General Manager at Glovo Nigeria, said the summit is tied to Glovo’s work with small and medium-sized businesses, often shortened to SMBs (smaller firms that typically have fewer staff and less capital than large enterprises). She said the goal is to give SMBs access to tools, insights, and “digital infrastructure”, meaning the software and systems that help businesses sell online, accept orders, and manage delivery.
Glovo also said Future of Commerce 2.0 will focus on “scaling impact” across Nigerian cities. In practical terms, this points to expansion of digital ordering and last-mile delivery (the final leg from a hub to a customer’s doorstep) beyond Lagos.
For founders and operators, summits like this can signal where platforms are placing bets, whether on merchant tools, logistics capacity, or new city launches. It also creates a policy touchpoint, since regulation affects delivery operations, consumer protection, and the ease of running online businesses.
Nigeria’s commerce ecosystem is crowded, with online retail, social commerce, and delivery startups all competing for merchants and customers. More structured conversations between platforms, merchants, and government can help clarify bottlenecks like infrastructure, safety, and compliance.
