## What Liners moderates

Liners checks reviews, product submissions, suggested corrections, product reports, owner replies, ads, and other public contributions.

Each content type has its own states and checks. The [community guidelines](/trust/community-guidelines) set the shared rules.

## How checks work

Liners may use automated tools to spot rule breaches, missing information, or content that needs more review. A clean automated result can allow some content to move forward. Other content stays pending for a Liners reviewer.

Automated tools do not make every final decision. Liners keeps the checks, scores, and abuse signals private so people cannot tune content to avoid them.

## Review states

New reviews enter Pending status. Liners may approve or reject them. An edit to an Approved or Rejected review returns it to Pending.

Approved reviews count toward the public product rating. Rejected and Pending reviews do not. Read [how reviews are moderated](/trust/how-reviews-work) for the review process.

## Reports and corrections

Signed-in users can report a problem with a product listing. Users may also suggest corrections on supported product, event, investor, and comparison pages.

Product managers can report an approved review on a product they manage. Other users do not have that review-report control.

A report should name the rule or fact at issue and include a source when one exists. Liners may dismiss a report that shows only a difference of opinion.

## Review clarification

Liners may ask a reviewer for more detail after a product manager reports an approved review. The reviewer has 14 days to answer.

If the reviewer answers, Liners checks the response with the report and review. If the reviewer does not answer, Liners decides from the information it has.

Liners does not offer a separate public appeal workflow. You may contact us if you believe Liners made a mistake or if you have new evidence.

## Actions Liners may take

Depending on the content type, Liners may:

- Leave the content unchanged.
- Correct or ask for a correction.
- Keep the content pending.
- Approve or reject it.
- Remove published content.
- Revoke a product claim that no longer appears valid.

A company cannot pay Liners to edit, hide, or remove a review. Paid plans and ads do not change review decisions.
