## Summary

How Liners reviews, labels, schedules, bills, and publishes paid advertisements.

## Content

## Ads are paid placements

Liners ads let a company promote a product in labelled areas of the site. Liners reviews ad details before publication.

Ads remain separate from user ratings, review decisions, comparison scores, alternatives similarity, and organic search relevance. The [editorial standards](/trust/editorial-standards) explain this split.

## Booking and payment

The [Advertise page](/advertise) shows current placements, dates, and prices. You need an account to buy an ad.

After checkout, you provide the company name, destination URL, description, and button text. Liners may also use the website favicon in the ad.

The ad enters Pending status after you submit its details.

## Review

Liners checks whether:

- The advertiser and destination appear legitimate.
- The destination works.
- The copy matches the destination.
- The ad follows Liners rules and does not mislead users.

Liners may approve or reject the ad. We do not publish the exact checks or abuse rules.

## Publication

An Approved ad can start on its booked date. Liners uses the purchased placement and available inventory to decide where it appears.

Liners labels ads so readers can tell them apart from other product content. Ads may rotate when more than one approved booking can use the same placement.

## Rejection and refunds

If Liners rejects an ad, the advertiser receives the reason. Contact hello@liners.com about any refund that may apply.

Payment does not require Liners to publish copy that breaks the ad or community rules.

## Auto-renewal

You may choose auto-renewal during checkout. Liners then uses the saved payment method and booking details to renew the ad when the current period ends.

You can turn auto-renewal off from the ads area in your dashboard. If a renewal payment fails, Liners disables auto-renewal for that ad and sends a notice.

## Product owners and paid listings

Advertisers must follow the [guidelines for product owners](/trust/product-owner-guidelines). Do not use ad copy to make unsupported claims, imitate another company, or hide the paid nature of the placement.

Paid listing plans are separate from ads. Ads appear only in labelled placements. Read [how Liners ranks products](/trust/how-product-ranking-works) for the ranking methods.
