## Liners is responsible for published content

Liners helps people discover and compare software products across Africa. Our pages may include public source data, user contributions, product-owner input, and AI-assisted drafts. Liners decides what to publish and remains responsible for the result.

## How Liners uses sources

Liners checks product websites, company sources, public reporting, official records where available, and contributions from users or product owners.

No source is complete. Product websites may overstate benefits, public reports may become stale, and third-party data may contain errors. Liners compares sources and uses careful wording when evidence is thin.

## How Liners uses AI

AI agents help Liners find, organise, draft, and check information. They can make mistakes or miss context. Liners treats AI output as a draft or signal, then applies the checks that fit the page.

Human review varies by surface. Some changes need review before publication. Some use automated checks with a reviewer for uncertain cases. Others may be corrected after a user or product owner reports an error.

## Rankings and recommendations

Liners uses different methods for search, the product directory, category and feature pages, alternatives, and comparisons.

Paid listing status does not change user ratings, review decisions, comparison scores, alternatives similarity, or search relevance. Liners labels ads as paid placements.

## Conflicts and commercial relationships

Liners may earn money from ads, paid listing plans, affiliate links, or other services. We separate those relationships from user ratings, reviews, and methods that do not use payment as a factor.

We label paid ads. If Liners uses an affiliate link, the commercial relationship does not change the facts published about the product.

## Corrections

Users and product owners can report listing problems or suggest corrections through supported page controls. Readers can also email hello@liners.com.

A useful correction includes:

- The page URL.
- The exact fact or sentence at issue.
- A source that supports the change.
- Your connection to the product, if any.

Liners checks the available evidence. A report does not guarantee a change.

## Updates

Liners reviews content when it is created, changed, reported, or refreshed. The timing depends on the page and the available sources.

Each trust page shows its last update date, review date, and named reviewer. Liners updates those dates only when the content or review has changed.
