## About the product

Temari.et is a school management platform for Ethiopian schools that brings fees, attendance, results, timetables, and parent communication into one system.

Key capabilities include:

- **Attendance tracking** with daily and per-period marking, plus **smart ID card** tap-in at the gate for students and staff; the system can send **same-day absence SMS** to guardians.
- **Fees and finance management** with invoices, verification of payments made via **Telebirr, CBE Birr, M-PESA, and major Ethiopian banks**, QR-code receipts that can be checked, and automated fee reminders that include the amount and due date.
- **Results and reporting** including marklists, averages and rankings, report cards and transcripts that carry **QR verification**, and **government roster** printing in the bureau's format.
- **School operations tools** such as timetable generation, lesson planning, **HR and payroll** (with tax and pension applied), and **inventory and asset tracking** (including requisitions and textbook lending).
- **Exam prep and tutoring**: practice papers for **Grade 6, 8, and 12** exams, plus a **verified tutor marketplace** with escrow-style payment for families.

Available on **Web**, with an interface built for phones and slow internet; attendance and mark entry can continue during network outages and sync when connectivity returns. It does not have a dedicated native app; access on Android phones is through the mobile-optimized website.

It serves a **B2B** audience, including school directors, registrars, finance staff, and teachers, as well as parents and students who receive updates and view records in their chosen language (English, Amharic, Afaan Oromoo).

Notable in Ethiopia for support of the **Ethiopian calendar and local naming conventions**, for being **built in Addis Ababa** by a registered Ethiopian company (Empire Technological Solution PLC, formerly known as School-X), and for stating **INSA certification** and on-the-ground support by phone, SMS, or in person. The site reports **19 schools** using the platform across the country.
