## Content

## In Short
[Zenith Bank](/zenith-bank) says customers with eligible cards can now pay with Google Pay.

Customers can use it for contactless purchases, meaning tap to pay in stores using a phone or supported device. They can also use it for online or in app checkouts through Google Wallet.

## What Happened: How Zenith Bank Enabled Google Pay In Google Wallet
Zenith Bank announced that customers with eligible cards can use Google Pay for contactless purchases and for online or in app checkouts through Google Wallet.

Google Wallet is Google’s app for storing and using payment cards on a phone. Google Pay is the payment feature that lets users complete the purchase.

The update applies to customers with eligible Zenith Bank cards, based on the bank’s announcement.

## Why It Matters
For Zenith Bank customers, this adds another way to pay without entering card details at checkout each time, including in apps.

For merchants, contactless payments can reduce checkout time because customers tap instead of swiping or inserting a card.
