Yango Pakistan has signed a partnership with PakWheels to cut vehicle maintenance costs for active partner drivers and couriers in Lahore. The offer runs until December 31, 2026.

## What Happened
Yango Pakistan announced a new deal with Pakistan automotive marketplace and service network PakWheels. The partnership targets one of the biggest costs in ride hailing, keeping a vehicle on the road.

Under the program, eligible drivers get 50% off selected car care services. These include Smart Engine Tuning and Quick Brake Services, plus other maintenance options.

Drivers also get a free 14+ point engine check-up with every oil change. This is a more detailed inspection that can help spot issues early, before they become expensive repairs or cause downtime.

The partnership also includes benefits tied to vehicle resale and verification. Every Yango partner driver can post their first vehicle classified ad on PakWheels for free. Drivers can also access discounted vehicle inspections at PakWheels Service Centers, and vehicles that meet PakWheels criteria can receive inspection stickers.

To claim the benefits, drivers need to show an active Yango Pro app at a PakWheels Service Center in Lahore. The companies said they may expand the collaboration to other cities after a review.

## Why It Matters
Ride hailing platforms depend on driver supply, and drivers depend on predictable running costs. Discounts on maintenance and inspections can improve driver earnings by reducing operating expenses and reducing time off the road.

There is also a customer side. Better maintained vehicles can mean fewer breakdowns, improved safety, and a more consistent passenger experience.

In African markets, similar driver economics programs are common, including vehicle financing, servicing partnerships, and insurance bundles. As platforms try to grow sustainably, the focus often shifts from rider promos to keeping drivers active and profitable.
