## Content

## In Short
WellaHealth and Checkoff have partnered to offer micro health plans inside Checkoff’s Bankvole app. The plans start at ₦500.

## What Happened
[WellaHealth](/wellahealth) said it is working with Checkoff to make affordable healthcare easier to buy from within a finance app. The partnership uses Zoi, WellaHealth’s embedded healthcare platform.

Embedded healthcare means a non-health app can offer healthcare products inside its normal user flow, similar to how a checkout page can add insurance. In this case, Bankvole users can browse plans and subscribe without leaving the app.

Checkoff is a CBN-licensed finance company. It offers payroll loans, personal lending, and investment products. With this integration, it adds healthcare as an extra service for customers who already use Bankvole for money management.

The plans available in Bankvole include the Easy Digital Plan for ₦500 and the Easy Plus Plan for ₦1,000. WellaHealth says the experience is powered through an API integration, which is a software connection that lets two systems share data and trigger actions.

After a user subscribes, customer and subscription details are shared securely with WellaHealth. WellaHealth then handles plan activation, healthcare access, claims, and customer support. Checkoff continues to run the core finance experience.

## Why It Matters
For many Nigerians, healthcare is often delayed when budgets are tight. Putting low-cost micro health plans inside a finance app reduces friction, since users can pay and sign up where they already manage bills, loans, and savings.

For fintechs and lenders, embedded healthcare can also be a retention tool. It gives customers more reasons to keep an app installed and active, beyond borrowing or transferring money.

For WellaHealth, the Checkoff deal is another proof point for Zoi as an infrastructure product. It shows how companies can add healthcare via API, without building healthcare operations, provider networks, or claims workflows in-house.
