## Content

## In Short
- WapiPay has partnered with JN Money Services to expand remittance options for sending money to Jamaica.
- JN Money will act as the exclusive local payout partner in Jamaica.
- Senders can choose cash collection at JN Money locations or direct deposits to local bank accounts.

## What Happened: WapiPay And JN Money Jamaica Remittance Partnership
WapiPay is expanding its cross-border payments network into Jamaica through a new partnership with JN Money Services. WapiPay is a cross-border payments company, meaning it helps people and businesses send money across countries without using multiple separate providers.

Under the deal, [WapiPay](/wapipay) customers will be able to send money to Jamaica for cash pickup at JN Money locations nationwide. They will also be able to send funds directly into recipients’ Jamaican bank accounts.

JN Money will serve as the exclusive local payout conduit. In simple terms, it is the last-mile partner that receives inbound transfers and delivers cash or deposits to the person in Jamaica.

The partnership follows WapiPay receiving regulatory approval to operate in Jamaica earlier in 2026. That approval allows WapiPay to plug into JN Money’s existing remittance infrastructure while giving JN Money another international partner to reach more diaspora corridors.

WapiPay said it has built payment corridors across Africa, Asia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and now sees Jamaica as a gateway into a major remittance market. The company also highlighted product features like automated routing, real-time transaction tracking, reconciliation, settlement tracking, compliance support, and partner reporting.

## Why It Matters: More Options And More Transparency In Remittances
Remittances are a core income source for many households, and users often care about speed, reliability, and total cost. More payout options, cash pickup and bank deposit, can reduce friction for recipients with different preferences.

The partnership also targets transparency on fees and foreign exchange rates. That matters because hidden charges and unclear rates are common pain points in cross-border money transfers.

For African fintech operators, this is another signal that payment companies built on Africa corridors are now extending into Caribbean markets where diaspora flows are large and competition is rising.
