## Content

## In Short
SunFi has introduced the VSolaris V1200, a portable power station aimed at Nigerian homes and small businesses dealing with frequent outages.

## What Happened
SunFi, listed on Liners as [SunFi](/sunfi), published a product spotlight for the VSolaris V1200, its newest portable power station.

The VSolaris V1200 delivers 1,200W of continuous power and up to 2,400W peak output. That peak figure matters when appliances need an extra burst to start up, like a mini fridge compressor.

SunFi says the unit is designed to run everyday essentials during outages. Examples include laptops, TVs, fans, Wi-Fi routers, lights, and mini fridges. The company shared estimated runtimes such as 10 to 14 hours for a laptop or standing fan, 6 to 10 hours for a 32 to 43-inch TV, and 15 hours or more for a Wi-Fi router, depending on load.

Charging options include a standard wall socket and solar panels. That makes it usable both as a simple backup device and as part of a solar setup for users who want to reduce reliance on the grid.

SunFi also highlights “pure sine wave” output, which is smoother electricity that is safer for sensitive electronics like laptops and TVs. The device includes a built-in UPS function, meaning it can switch instantly when grid power drops, similar to how office backup units keep a computer from shutting off.

The company says the unit works out of the box with no installation required. Optional professional installation is available at an additional cost. The VSolaris V1200 comes with a 3-year warranty.

## Why It Matters
For many Nigerian SMEs, power downtime directly reduces sales and productivity. A portable power station can be a quieter, fuel-free alternative to small generators for lights, connectivity, and point-of-sale operations.

The focus on portability also changes how backup power is used. Instead of being tied to a fixed inverter installation, users can move the unit between rooms, shops, or workstations based on need.

SunFi’s positioning suggests a growing market for mid-range backup power products that sit between power banks and full solar inverter systems, especially for remote workers and small retail operators.
