## What Happened
[Valu](/valu) said it has become Noon Minutes’ exclusive financial payments provider and first payment partner in Egypt. The deal brings Valu’s financing products into the Noon Minutes checkout.

Shoppers can use Valu instalment plans for up to 60 months. They can also use Spark It, Valu’s buy now, pay later product. BNPL is a short-term credit option that lets customers get items now and pay later. In this case, Spark It lets users defer purchases for up to 45 days without additional fees.

Noon Minutes is Noon’s quick-commerce service. Quick commerce means very fast delivery, usually in minutes, for everyday items like groceries, household essentials, and personal care.

This partnership builds on earlier work between the two companies. They first teamed up in 2022 to offer instalment financing on Noon’s marketplace. They expanded the relationship into Noon Payments in 2024.

## Why It Matters
For Valu, the Noon Minutes checkout is a high-frequency use case. That matters because instalment finance in Egypt has often been associated with big-ticket items, like electronics. Grocery and essentials orders can drive repeat use and higher transaction volume.

Valu has been pushing in this direction already. The company previously reported that transaction volumes rose 49% year on year to 2.53 million in Q1 2026. Management has also said it wants customers to use the platform more often across the year.

For Noon Minutes, an exclusive payments partner can simplify the checkout experience. It can also lift basket sizes if customers have longer instalment options or a short-term pay-later option available at the point of sale.
