## In Short: TTCL And NIDC Operations In Tanzania
[TTCL](/ttcl) says China Exim Bank praised the Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation for its operation of the National Internet Data Centre (NIDC). TTCL manages the centre.

## What Happened: China Exim Bank Visit To TTCL’s NIDC
TTCL says the praise was given during a visit by a China Exim Bank delegation to the NIDC.

TTCL says the delegation was led by the bank’s Vice President, Wang Kang. TTCL says the purpose of the visit was for the delegation to see the centre’s operations and how it carries out its responsibilities.

TTCL says the praise focused on how the NIDC is being run and how it is keeping up with changes in technology. TTCL also says the delegation’s visit covered how the NIDC is helping strengthen digital infrastructure in the country and enabling the delivery of ICT services that meet the needs of different institutions and stakeholders.

TTCL says its Technical Director, Engineer Cecil Francis, spoke on behalf of TTCL’s Director General. TTCL says he shared information on how the centre operates, the services it provides, and how it continues to carry out its responsibilities so that the goals behind its establishment are met.

A national internet data centre is a facility that supports online and digital services, for example by hosting systems and providing ICT services for organisations.

TTCL positions the feedback from China Exim Bank as recognition of its efforts to manage and develop key communications and ICT infrastructure, while continuing to improve services in line with technology developments.
