## Content

## In Short
Terminal Africa has launched Rate Cards, a new feature that lets users view carrier shipping prices without creating a shipment.

## What Happened
Terminal Africa says Rate Cards helps merchants and logistics teams answer a common question fast, “How much to ship this to London”, without going through the full booking flow.

With Rate Cards, users can see a price list for each carrier connected to their account, including global couriers and local delivery options. The company says the prices shown are the prices users will pay at booking, not estimates.

The Rate Cards page also labels carriers by route type, Local, Export, or Import. That is meant to help users quickly filter which services can deliver within a country or across borders.

Terminal Africa says each carrier card shows when rates were last updated. A refresh button pulls the latest rates, so businesses can quote with current pricing.

The feature is available in the dashboard under the Account menu.

## Why It Matters
For many African e-commerce and social commerce sellers, shipping cost is one of the biggest reasons a customer abandons a purchase. If it takes too long to generate a quote, the buyer may stop responding.

Rate Cards shifts price discovery earlier in the workflow. Instead of starting a shipment booking just to see a number, teams can compare couriers side by side and share a quote in seconds.

It can also help merchants set product pricing and delivery fees with more confidence, especially when they sell to international customers and need predictable export rates.

On Liners, Terminal Africa is listed as [Terminal](/terminal).
