## Content

## In Short
Talabat has partnered with KIB Business Center in Kuwait to run Brew & Build under its talabat grow programme. The goal is to help specialty coffee founders use market data to make better decisions.

## What Happened
[Talabat](/talabat), the MENA “everyday app” that includes food delivery and other on-demand services, teamed up with Kuwait International Bank’s KIB Business Center as the official event partner for an invite-only gathering called Brew & Build.

The event brought together specialty coffee business owners in Kuwait. Organisers said the sessions focused on market trends and consumer behaviour insights.

Talabat said it shared market-specific data to encourage “data-driven decision making.” In simple terms, this means using numbers from orders, locations, and customer preferences to guide choices like what to sell, where to open next, and how to plan delivery routes.

According to the statement, the programme is part of talabat grow, a capability-building initiative designed to support small and medium-sized businesses with practical training and industry knowledge.

Talabat Kuwait corporate affairs director Abdullah Al-Mansour said the aim is to help SMEs improve operations, supply chains, and delivery strategies. The event also featured coffee expert Meshari Al-Yaqout, founder of Brewever Academy and CEO of Kuwait Gastronomy and Culinary Arts.

## Why It Matters
Food and beverage businesses, especially specialty coffee, often grow faster than their internal systems. Many rely on instinct and informal processes, even as competition increases.

When platforms like Talabat share demand signals, such as peak ordering times, neighbourhood-level preferences, and repeat purchase patterns, coffee shops can reduce guesswork. That can translate into better inventory planning, smarter promotions, and more efficient last-mile delivery.

For the wider African and MENA tech ecosystem, this is another example of delivery platforms moving beyond logistics and into SME enablement. The winners are usually merchants that learn how to use data, not just how to get listed on an app.
