## Content

## In Short
STB has issued a tender to buy a pentest solution subscription for 36 months and a high-performance laptop. Offers are due by 26 October 2026.

## What Happened
[Société Tunisienne de Banque (STB)](/societe-tunisienne-de-banque) published a call for tenders to acquire a pentest solution on a subscription basis. Pentest is short for penetration testing, which is a controlled attempt to break into systems so weaknesses can be found and fixed.

The tender covers a 36-month subscription for one named user. STB also wants a high-performance laptop to run intrusion testing campaigns and handle the tooling needed for security assessments.

The procurement is split into two lots. Lot 1 is the pentest software licence, installation, and support. Lot 2 is the supply of the laptop.

STB says the purchase is part of strengthening its overall cybersecurity controls and building internal testing capability. It also points to alignment with ISO 27001, a widely used information security standard that requires formal security management processes.

On process, bidders must submit administrative documents, a technical offer, and a financial offer in sealed envelopes. The tender includes a provisional bank guarantee of 5,000 Tunisian dinars and a tender document fee of 100 Tunisian dinars. Offers remain valid for 120 days after the submission deadline.

## Why It Matters
Banks across Africa are under rising pressure to prove cyber resilience as digital banking usage grows. A pentest subscription and dedicated hardware signal that STB wants repeatable, in-house security testing, not one-off external audits.

For cybersecurity vendors and local system integrators, tenders like this can open doors into regulated financial institutions. They also reward teams that can show compliance readiness, strong support, and clear audit trails, which are key requirements in banking procurement.
