Standard Chartered said Robert Cammilleri will lead its North American Fund Finance business.

Vicky Du said Cammilleri brings “deep industry expertise, strong client relationships and a proven track record of building businesses across the fund finance ecosystem.” She added that the appointment “strengthens our ability to support clients across North America” and “reinforces our commitment to growing our global Fund Finance franchise.”

Cammilleri said he is “very excited to join Standard Chartered and lead the North American Fund Finance business.” He pointed to the bank’s “international network” and “strong relationships with financial sponsors and asset managers” as a platform to support “clients’ evolving financing needs.”

## Why It Matters
Standard Chartered said its Americas franchise plays “a key role in facilitating trade and investment flows between the Americas and Asia, Africa, the UK and Europe and the Middle East.” Appointing a dedicated leader for fund finance in North America signals a focus on building that product line in the region.

The bank also highlighted Cammilleri’s experience across fund finance, structured finance, private markets, and financial institutions coverage. Before joining Standard Chartered, he was Managing Director and Global Head of Fund and Asset-Level Financings at Barings. He previously held roles at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, National Australia Bank, and Fitch Ratings.
