## In Short
- SeevCash has raised $333,000 in funding via Stellar Community Fund awards and related ecosystem programmes.
- The Ghana-US remittance startup says the grants will help it move faster on product and growth.
- It also launched a Visa card for global spending, and it continues to use MoneyGram for cash in and cash out.

## What Happened
[SeevCash](/seev-cash), a Ghana-focused remittance and peer-to-peer transfer app for diaspora users in the United States, has raised a total of $333,000 from the Stellar Community Fund (SCF).

The money came as four separate awards. They include two SCF Community Fund grants and two ecosystem growth programmes. SeevCash previously received $142,000 from SCF in October 2025.

SeevCash was founded in 2022 by Dawuda Iddrissu, Charles Owusu, and Cosmos Appiah. The startup says it helps users send, request, and manage money at low fees using blockchain, which is a shared digital ledger that can record transactions across many computers.

Alongside the funding update, the company has launched a Visa card. The card is meant to let users spend their balance in more than 250 countries. The team said the card came from repeated user requests after the send feature went live.

SeevCash also says the card builds on its existing partnership with MoneyGram, which helps users move funds into the app.

## Why It Matters
Grants like SCF are non-dilutive funding, meaning founders do not give up equity to receive the cash. For early-stage fintechs, that can extend runway while they validate pricing, compliance needs, and cross-border payment reliability.

The Ghana-US corridor is competitive, and users care about speed, fees, and how easily money can be used after it lands. A Visa card can reduce friction by turning a remittance balance into something usable for everyday payments, not just transfers.

If SeevCash can keep costs low while improving cash in, cash out, and card usability, it may increase repeat usage among diaspora customers, which is often the core driver of remittance unit economics.
