## What Happened
Prestmit Business is a new product from [Prestmit](/prestmit) that targets companies, not individual users. Prestmit is best known for consumer services around gift cards, crypto exchange, and digital payments. With this launch, it is packaging its business tools into one place.

The first part is an API Partner Programme. An API, short for application programming interface, is a way for one software product to talk to another (like a plug that lets your app connect to a payment or gift card provider). This lets a fintech, marketplace, or rewards platform integrate gift card buying and selling into its own app without building the full rails.

The second part is an OTC desk. OTC means over-the-counter, which is a managed way to trade large crypto amounts directly with a provider instead of using public exchange order books. Prestmit says this supports high-volume cryptocurrency conversions with settlement in Naira or Cedis, meaning businesses can receive local currency payouts after crypto is converted.
