## In Short
- Prembly announced a unified trust infrastructure on 11 September 2026.
- The platform bundles identity verification, KYB, AML screening, background checks, fraud intelligence, and ongoing monitoring.
- It targets companies expanding across Africa, Latin America, North America, and Europe.

## What Happened
Prembly says it is helping businesses expand across borders with a single trust and compliance platform. In practice, this means a company can use [Prembly](/prembly) to verify people and businesses, screen for financial crime risk, and monitor users over time, across multiple markets.

The company is positioning the product as an alternative to building a fragmented compliance stack. That stack often includes separate vendors for KYC, KYB, sanctions screening, background checks, and fraud tooling. KYC means “know your customer”, it is the identity checks a business runs before onboarding a user. KYB means “know your business”, it is similar checks for companies and merchants.

Prembly also highlighted its fraud intelligence product, FraudLens. It is designed to spot repeat fraud patterns and behavioural signals, so risk teams are not relying only on a one-time onboarding check.

Prembly says it supports 7,000+ businesses, and cited customers such as London Stock Exchange, Mastercard, and Uber.

## Why It Matters
Cross-border expansion usually fails on operations before it fails on demand. Each country has different ID systems, data availability, and regulatory expectations. Fraud patterns also vary by region.

For fintechs, marketplaces, and global employers, compliance is not only a launch step. Ongoing monitoring matters because customer risk can change after onboarding, for example when a business changes ownership or a user appears on a watchlist.

A unified platform can reduce vendor sprawl, simplify audits, and speed up new market entry. It can also help African startups sell internationally, since many global partners require strong AML controls (anti-money laundering checks) before they will integrate or process payments.
