## Content

## In Short
PayTic is expanding into Saudi Arabia.

The fintech, headquartered in Canada and Morocco, builds AI tools for payment operations.

AstroLabs is supporting PayTic’s market entry.

## What Happened
[Paytic](/paytic) said on September 3, 2026 that it is entering Saudi Arabia with market entry support from AstroLabs.

PayTic sells “Intelligent Components” for payment operations. This means software modules that use AI (machine learning that spots patterns in data) to automate and control back-office work behind digital payments.

The company is targeting Saudi banks, fintechs, payment processors, and large merchants. The focus is on operational workflows such as reconciliation (matching transactions to bank records), dispute resolution (handling chargebacks and complaints), card scheme compliance (meeting Visa and Mastercard rules), interface monitoring, and network fee management.

PayTic is timing the move with growth in Saudi digital payments. The company cited Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) data showing electronic payment transactions grew by nearly 16% year-on-year in 2025.

## Why It Matters
As payment volumes climb, the “back office” becomes a bigger risk area. Manual processes can slow settlement, increase errors, and create compliance gaps. That affects customer experience and can raise costs for banks and merchants.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 FinTech Strategy is pushing a more digital financial ecosystem. That usually increases demand for tools that scale operations, enforce controls, and provide better reporting.

For PayTic, a Saudi presence can also strengthen its wider MENA footprint. It positions the company closer to large institutions that need enterprise-grade payment operations infrastructure, not just payment acceptance or a checkout layer.
