## Content

## In Short
PalmPay has launched a new customer campaign called “PalmPay Dey For You” in Nigeria. The push focuses on account security education, clearer support flows, and reassurance about regulation and deposit protection.

## What Happened
[PalmPay](/palmpay) said the “PalmPay Dey For You” campaign is meant to reinforce confidence in secure and reliable digital banking as more Nigerians discuss fraud, stability, and trust in financial institutions.

The company said it operates under Central Bank of Nigeria oversight and that eligible customer deposits are insured by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation. It also pointed to everyday use cases on the app, including transfers, bill payments, and savings.

A key part of the campaign is its Security Center, a hub inside the app that groups safety controls in one place. PalmPay highlighted “Location Guard”, which lets users set up to six trusted locations so logins and activity from unexpected places can be flagged or blocked. It also highlighted “NightGuard”, which adds extra protection during selected time periods.

PalmPay said the campaign will include educational content and FAQs that explain how users can protect their accounts and turn on safeguards.

The company also promoted in-app dispute handling through its Dispute Page, which lets users submit and track transaction complaints without leaving the app. For customers who lose access to a phone or card, PalmPay said users can lock their accounts via USSD, a short code feature that works like texting a command without data, by dialing *861*12#. Cards can be locked via *861*7*5#.

## Why It Matters
For consumer fintech apps, trust is a product feature, not just a marketing line. More visible security controls can reduce successful fraud attempts and lower support costs when issues happen.

PalmPay’s campaign also shows a broader shift in Nigerian fintech toward “security by design”, where protections are built into the core experience instead of being reactive after an incident.
