# Ooredoo Wins Opensignal Tunisia Best Network Award 2026

## What Happened
Opensignal’s September 2026 Tunisia Mobile Network Experience Report ranked [Ooredoo](/ooredoo) as the Best Network in Tunisia. The report uses real user measurements from April 1 to June 29, 2026.

Ooredoo won 12 of 14 award categories in the report. That includes every measured Quality of Experience and Network Performance category.

On quality, Ooredoo won Reliability and Consistent Quality outright. Reliability is a score from 100 to 1000 that reflects whether users can connect and complete common tasks. Ooredoo scored 821. Consistent Quality measures the share of time users see “good enough” service for common apps, Ooredoo scored 63.9%.

On speed, Ooredoo swept all four speed awards, both overall and on 5G. It recorded 28.0 Mbps average download speed, compared with 23.3 Mbps for Tunisie Telecom. On 5G, Ooredoo’s average download speed was 167.5 Mbps, ahead of Tunisie Telecom at 151.1 Mbps and Orange at 90.3 Mbps. Ooredoo also led 5G upload speed at 23.3 Mbps versus 19.5 Mbps for Tunisie Telecom.

Tunisie Telecom won 5G Availability outright at 58.3%, ahead of Ooredoo at 52.0% and Orange at 47.3%. 5G Availability is the share of time a user with a 5G device and plan can detect a 5G signal, even if the phone still uses 4G for data.

## Why It Matters
For users, these results suggest a tradeoff in Tunisia. Ooredoo leads on reliability, consistent quality, and 5G speeds. Tunisie Telecom leads on time spent with a detectable 5G signal.

For operators and businesses that depend on mobile data, the gap between 5G availability and 5G speed highlights a common 5G rollout challenge. Coverage can expand faster than real world performance improves, especially when devices stay anchored to 4G in parts of the network.

For Tunisia’s digital economy, stronger reliability and predictable speeds matter for video calls, cloud apps, and mobile payments. These are the everyday workloads that startups and SMEs need to run consistently.
