## In Short
- OneDosh says its Visa cardholders can now withdraw cash at Visa-accepting ATMs worldwide, excluding sanctioned countries.
- Users can withdraw up to $750 in a rolling 24-hour period.
- ATM operators may still charge their own fees.

## What Happened
[OneDosh](/onedosh) has added global ATM cash withdrawals for customers using its Visa card. That means users can take money out as local cash from Visa-accepting ATMs in non-sanctioned countries.

The product is aimed at people who hold and spend digital dollars across borders. In practice, it lets users turn a digital dollar balance into banknotes when a merchant or service provider only accepts cash.

The company says the cash withdrawal limit is up to $750 within a rolling 24-hour window. A rolling window means the limit is calculated over the last 24 hours, not reset at midnight.

Users should also expect extra charges in some locations. Many ATMs add a surcharge on top of any card or foreign exchange fees, and OneDosh noted that ATM operators may apply their own fees.

## Why It Matters
For African users paid by international clients, remote employers, or cross-border customers, stablecoin and dollar balances are often easier to receive than local currency. Stablecoins are crypto tokens designed to track a currency like the US dollar, like a digital dollar that can move online.

But spending still breaks down in cash-heavy situations, like informal retail, transport, and rent payments. Global ATM access makes a card product more useful because it closes that last-mile gap between digital money and physical cash.

It also signals how stablecoin-linked card programmes are trying to look and feel like normal banking. The closer these products get to everyday cash access, the more they compete with traditional bank cards for cross-border use cases.
