## Content

## In Short
NITDA and NACCIMA have partnered to connect Nigerian tech startups with private sector investors, corporate buyers, and commercial deals.

## What Happened
Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA, signed a memorandum of understanding, meaning a formal agreement to work together.

The NITDA and NACCIMA partnership is meant to reduce the gap between building technology and finding paying customers. NACCIMA plans to use its network of over 120 chambers and large businesses to help NITDA-backed startups get into investor conversations and enterprise procurement.

A joint technical working group, which is a shared implementation team, will coordinate the rollout. Under the arrangement, NACCIMA will act as an investor pipeline and an off-taker facilitator. An off-taker is a corporate buyer that agrees to purchase a product or service, similar to having a confirmed customer before you scale.

One near-term target is the Digital Nigeria International Conference and Exhibition, DNICE 2026, holding in Abuja from November 10 to 12. NACCIMA says it will run B2B deal rooms, invite corporate investors and venture capital firms, join startup evaluation panels, and introduce startups to potential buyers.

The focus sectors include manufacturing, agribusiness, logistics, and services.

The partnership also includes an AI adoption programme for 10,000 MSMEs across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. AI, short for artificial intelligence, refers to software that can automate tasks like writing, forecasting, or customer support. The programme will cover practical AI tools, digital skills, financial readiness, and market access.

## Why It Matters
Many Nigerian startups struggle less with building products and more with getting enterprise customers, repeat contracts, and local capital. If NACCIMA can turn its chambers and corporate members into real buyers, it could increase revenue stability for early-stage companies.

For MSMEs, the AI programme could widen demand for local software vendors, especially tools that support sales, logistics, inventory, and productivity. The real test will be how many signed commercial contracts and closed investment deals come out of DNICE 2026 and beyond.
