# MyTherapist.ng Adds Pay For Me Links And Sponsors Option

MyTherapist.ng launched Pay for me and Sponsors so someone else can pay for therapy sessions without seeing the user’s therapist or session details.

MyTherapist.ng has introduced two new payment options, Pay for me and Sponsors. The company says both features let someone else pay for therapy while keeping the payer separate from the session.

## What Happened: How Pay For Me Works On MyTherapist.ng
[MyTherapist.ng](/mytherapist-ng) said Pay for me turns one therapy session into a payment link. A user picks a therapist and time, then chooses Pay for me at checkout.

The user can add a note and share the link on WhatsApp, via their phone’s share options, or by copying it elsewhere. The person paying does not need a MyTherapist.ng account. They see the user’s first name, the amount, and the note, then enter their name and email.

Payment can be made by card or bank transfer through [Paystack](/paystack). The session books automatically when the money lands, and both parties get confirmations, a notification for the user and a receipt for the payer.

MyTherapist.ng said the link stays open for 48 hours, or until an hour before the session, whichever comes first. If the time slot is booked by someone else before the link is paid, the money goes to the user’s wallet instead.

## What Happened: How Sponsors Works On MyTherapist.ng

Either the user or the sponsor can start it. Invites stay open for 7 days. A user can have up to three sponsors, and a sponsor can pay for up to five people.

MyTherapist.ng said sponsors can set a monthly limit between ₦1,000 and ₦1,000,000.

## Why It Matters
MyTherapist.ng said many users rely on a parent, partner, sibling, or relative abroad to pay for therapy. The company said these features reduce back-and-forth steps like transfers, top-ups, and proof screenshots. It also said payers do not see the user’s therapist, session details, or care information, which is meant to support privacy between the user and their therapist.
