## In Short
- MoneyHash and Telr announced a partnership on September 17, 2026 at Money20/20 Riyadh.
- The deal adds Telr acquiring and local payment methods to MoneyHash’s payment orchestration network.
- Merchants can access another regional provider without building a separate integration.

## What Happened
[MoneyHash](/moneyhash) said it has partnered with Telr to expand access to regional acquiring for businesses operating across Middle Eastern markets. MoneyHash is a payment orchestration platform, which means it helps companies connect to multiple payment providers through one setup instead of integrating each provider one by one.

Telr is described as a regulated regional payments provider with acquiring and local payment capabilities. Acquiring is the part of the payment chain that processes card payments for a merchant, usually through a bank or licensed payments firm.

With the new integration, merchants using MoneyHash can add Telr as another option inside the same payments “control panel”. They can route transactions across providers based on rules they choose, for example by country, currency, approval rates, or cost. This supports a multi-provider strategy, which is when a business uses more than one payment provider to reduce failed payments and avoid downtime.

Both companies positioned the partnership as a way to increase payment choice without increasing engineering work. The announcement was made during Money20/20 Middle East in Riyadh.

## Why It Matters
For merchants expanding across markets, payments often fail because each country has different rails, regulations, and preferred methods. A single integration that adds more regional acquiring options can reduce launch time and ongoing maintenance.

For Telr, the partnership is also a distribution play. By joining an orchestration layer, Telr can reach merchants that already manage multiple payment gateways and want plug-in access to local-market processing.

The deal adds to a wider shift in MENA and Africa toward modular payments infrastructure. More companies want flexibility to switch providers quickly as requirements change, rather than being locked into one gateway or one direct integration.
