## Content

## In Short
- MoneyHash has partnered with Ozow to widen access to local online payment methods in South Africa.
- The deal lets merchants connect to Ozow through their existing MoneyHash setup.
- The goal is to reduce the cost and effort of managing many payment provider integrations.

## What Happened
[MoneyHash](/moneyhash) is expanding its South Africa coverage through a new partnership with [Ozow](/ozow). MoneyHash is a payment orchestration platform, meaning it helps businesses route and manage payments across multiple providers from one layer, like a “switchboard” for checkout.

With this integration, businesses that already use MoneyHash can connect to Ozow without building a new standalone technical connection. That can cut engineering work, maintenance, and ongoing operational effort.

Ozow is known in South Africa for alternative payment options beyond cards. It supports flows such as QR code payments, e-commerce checkout, e-billing, point of sale, and peer-to-peer payments.

MoneyHash, founded in 2021, has been building an end-to-end payments operating system for larger companies. The startup raised US$5.2 million in pre-Series A funding last year and has been signing partnerships across the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Bahrain, and Oman.

## Why It Matters
South Africa has one of Africa’s most mature digital payments markets, but that also means more choice and more fragmentation. As new online payment methods grow, merchants often juggle several providers, separate integrations, different reporting dashboards, and multiple settlement processes.

Payment orchestration aims to simplify that mess. If MoneyHash can offer South African businesses broader local payment method coverage through fewer integrations, it can improve time to market and reduce checkout failures caused by brittle or duplicated payment connections.

For Ozow, the partnership is a distribution play. It puts Ozow’s rails in front of enterprises and regional merchants already using MoneyHash’s unified payments layer.
