Jubilee Health is working with **[Jubilee Insurance](/jubilee-insurance)** and **bolttech** to accelerate embedded health insurance distribution across East Africa. Embedded insurance means insurance is offered inside another product, like adding delivery protection while checking out online, instead of buying a separate policy.

The rollout will be powered by bolttech’s API-driven technology platform (**mTek Services**, rebranded as bolttech following its acquisition). An API is a set of tools that lets two software systems talk to each other, like a secure connector between an insurer and a partner app. In practice, this can let digital partners present quotes, capture customer details, issue policies, and manage servicing steps without building the full insurance stack from scratch.

For Jubilee Health, this approach targets distribution. That is the part of insurance that often slows growth, because customers have to leave the app they are using, fill long forms, or deal with offline paperwork.
