## In Short
inDrive has reshuffled and expanded leadership for its Growth Businesses team. The company says it wants to scale services beyond ride hailing, including groceries, delivery, ads, and financial services.

## What Happened
[inDrive](/indrive) announced four key leadership moves to support expansion beyond ride hailing.

Raphael Zennou is now Vice President of Food and Groceries. He joins from Delivery Hero, where he worked on quick commerce, which is fast delivery of everyday items like groceries.

Max Silin is the new Director of inDrive.Ads. He joins from Google and will focus on growing the advertising business, including programmatic advertising, which is automated ad buying using software.

Valentin Laykov has been promoted to Senior Head of Delivery. His remit covers courier delivery and freight, which is shipping larger goods for businesses.

Alexander Kurchin will continue to lead inDrive.Money, the company’s financial services unit. inDrive.Money focuses on short term loans for gig workers, meaning drivers and couriers who earn per job, so they can manage emergencies and build credit histories.

The company said its app is modular, meaning each market can switch on different services based on local demand. It operates in 48 countries and more than 1,200 cities.

## Why It Matters
For African markets where inDrive operates, these roles signal that the company is putting senior operators behind new revenue lines, not just adding features. Ads can diversify income and help subsidise lower commissions and fares, while delivery and groceries can increase order frequency beyond commuting hours.

The fintech angle also matters. Credit for gig workers is a common gap in many African economies, and platforms that control earnings data are often best placed to underwrite small loans.

inDrive said that in 2025, 13% of its monthly transacting users used both mobility and delivery services in the same app. That is a key metric for building a multi service platform, because it shows cross sell, which is when one service drives usage of another.
