## What Happened: FiveWest Becomes 10bet Lions Payments Partner
FiveWest was announced as the Official Payments and Settlements Partner of the 10bet Lions for three years.

The partnership gives FiveWest exclusivity in the payments and settlements category for Lions Rugby.

As part of the agreement, the FiveWest logo will appear on the right collar of the Lions jersey in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship (URC), the EPCR Investec Champions Cup and the Currie Cup.

10bet Ellis Park Managing Director Pieter Burger said the deal shows “commitment to the business of sport” by providing “further exposure for brands to supporters and stakeholders.”

FiveWest CEO Omer Iqbal called the partnership “an important milestone for FiveWest,” adding that the Lions’ “resilience, performance and a proud South African sporting legacy” aligns with the company.

For FiveWest, the agreement ties a payments and settlement provider to a major South African sports brand, with visibility across domestic and international competitions.

FiveWest describes itself as a licensed payments and settlement provider that helps businesses manage funds globally. It offers collections, payments and settlement solutions, and says it combines its own technology with existing financial infrastructure.

The company was founded in 2020. It also operates an OTC trading desk (over-the-counter trading, which is buying and selling directly rather than through a public exchange). FiveWest says it provides tools for international payments companies, merchants and financial institutions to transact with their South African customers.
