## What Happened: Fawry POS Terminal Integration With Crystal Mind
[Fawry](/fawry) says it will work with Crystal Mind and its digital payments arm, Crystal Pay, to launch an integrated point-of-sale setup for merchants in Egypt.

A POS system is the software a business uses to ring up sales, track items, and record payments. A POS terminal is the card payment device that processes a customer’s card or wallet payment. In many businesses, these two do not automatically talk to each other, so staff re-enter figures manually.

With this integration, transaction data will move automatically between Crystal Mind’s POS software and Fawry’s POS terminals. The companies said the system will update payment status in real time and generate synchronized financial records.
