## Content

## In Short
- EverTry has introduced EverTry One, a fixed-balance virtual card for international online payments.
- Users fund the card once at creation, up to $250.
- The card does not support top-ups or withdrawals, but it can be used for multiple transactions until the balance runs out.

## What Happened
EverTry has launched EverTry One, a new virtual card product inside [EverTry](/evertry). The company announced the product on September 4, 2026.

EverTry One is positioned for users who already know roughly how much an international payment will cost. A virtual card is a card number you use online, like a regular card, but it is generated digitally in an app.

The key rule is that EverTry One is funded once during creation, with a maximum initial load of $250. After funding, users can make multiple supported international transactions from the same balance. However, they cannot add more money later and they cannot withdraw any remaining funds.

EverTry says KYC is not required to create the card. KYC means “Know Your Customer,” the identity checks financial apps use to verify users. The card is linked to a phone number, and users can create up to three EverTry One cards at a time.

The company also frames EverTry One as “one-time funded, not one-time use.” In practice, this makes it closer to a prepaid card with strict limits than a reusable virtual card that can be topped up.

## Why It Matters
Dollar virtual cards remain a common workaround for Africans who need to pay for global subscriptions, courses, and other online services that do not accept local cards.

By removing KYC at card creation and limiting funding to $250, EverTry is targeting faster onboarding and smaller, planned purchases. The tradeoff is flexibility, users must estimate their spending upfront, since there is no top-up option and no way to cash out unused balance.

For EverTry, fixed-balance cards can also reduce fraud exposure and chargeback risk, because the maximum amount at risk per card is capped.
