## Content

## In Short
- Achieve by Petra has launched DigiSave Plus, a flexible savings and investment option in Ghana.
- Contributions are invested in the Sentinel Ghana Fixed Income Trust, a pooled fund that buys fixed income assets like bonds.
- The product starts at GHS 100, with GHS 50 top-ups, no subscription or redemption fees, and a 1.5% annual management fee.

## What Happened
On September 16, 2026, Achieve by Petra announced DigiSave Plus, a new option inside the [Achieve by Petra](/achieve-by-petra) app for users who want potentially higher returns than its basic DigiSave product.

DigiSave Plus keeps the same “top up anytime, withdraw anytime” approach, with no lock-in period. That means users can add money when they like and redeem when they need to, rather than having cash tied up for months.

Behind the scenes, user contributions are invested in the Sentinel Ghana Fixed Income Trust (SGHFIT). This is an open-ended collective investment scheme, which is a shared pool of money managed by a professional fund manager. The fund is managed by Sentinel Asset Management Limited and held with GT Bank for safekeeping, according to the announcement.

Achieve said the fund takes on slightly more risk than DigiSave in exchange for the chance to earn more over time. In simple terms, the value can move up and down a bit because bond prices can fall when interest rates rise.

The company shared key product details, including a fund size of GHS 8.38 million as of August 2026, a GHS 100 initial investment, and GHS 50 subsequent top-ups. It also listed no subscription fee, no redemption fee, and a 1.5% per year management fee. The fund is valued daily.

## Why It Matters
In Ghana, more consumer finance apps are blending “savings” and “investing” to keep products simple for retail users. DigiSave Plus fits this trend by offering a familiar savings experience while routing money into a regulated fixed income fund.

For users, the main trade-off is clear. More return potential can mean more price movement, even if the product still allows flexible withdrawals. That matters for anyone saving for short-term goals or emergency cash.

For the wider [Fintech](/categories/fintech) market, products like DigiSave Plus show how investment wrappers, which are app-based interfaces over regulated funds, are becoming a common way to expand beyond basic digital savings.
