## In Short
Ctrack has introduced DOT, an AI-powered help assistant inside its Crystal platform. DOT is designed to answer user questions in a conversational way, using Crystal help resources and workflow guidance.

## What Happened: How Ctrack’s DOT Works Inside Crystal
[Ctrack](/ctrack) says DOT is being introduced within Crystal to give customers an alternative to searching through menus, manuals, and help content.

Users can ask practical questions like “How do I create a group?”, “Where do I find Replay?”, “How do I generate a report?”, and “How do I add an operator?”. DOT then provides guidance based on approved Crystal knowledge, help content, manuals, and workflow information.

Ctrack says DOT has been built around Crystal terminology and workflows. The aim is to keep guidance inside the environment where customers are working, so new users can learn the platform faster and experienced users can revisit less familiar processes.

When DOT cannot resolve a question appropriately, users can escalate via the DOT Helpdesk, which brings Ctrack staff into the process. Ctrack also says these escalations can help identify gaps in guidance and opportunities to improve support and training content.

Ctrack says DOT is being introduced through a phased rollout, with the intention of extending Version 1 help capability to all Crystal users at no additional charge.

## Why It Matters: A Clear Scope for Version 1, With More Promised
Ctrack is explicit about what DOT does not do today. DOT currently helps customers access Crystal knowledge and understand platform workflows, but it does not independently analyse live fleet performance, predict outcomes, or take actions within Crystal.

Ctrack frames DOT’s longer-term direction as a progression from help to deeper capability, listed as “HELP → UNDERSTAND → ANALYSE → PREDICT → ACT.” The company also says Databricks is expected to provide a data intelligence layer behind future analytical and predictive capabilities.

For customers, the immediate change is simpler navigation and task guidance inside Crystal. For Ctrack, the roadmap suggests DOT may evolve from answering “how do I” questions into responding to operational questions like what is changing across a fleet and what requires attention.
