## In Short
Cr3dentials says it has integrated OnlyFans as a verified income source for lending.

## What Happened
[Cr3dentials](/cr3dentials) announced on August 10, 2026 that it has become the first income verification infrastructure platform to integrate OnlyFans for lending use cases.

Income verification is the process lenders use to confirm how much a borrower earns, usually with payslips or bank statements. For creators, that documentation often does not exist in a format banks are used to.

Cr3dentials says the integration lets lenders assess creator earnings from OnlyFans inside their underwriting flow. Underwriting is the step where a lender decides whether to approve a loan and at what price, based on risk.

OnlyFans paid out $5.8 billion to creators in 2024, according to Cr3dentials. The company argues that this is real, recurring income that is often invisible to traditional credit models.

## Why It Matters
Across Africa, many borrowers are paid through platforms, not payroll. That includes freelancers, gig workers, and online creators who earn in foreign currency or through digital wallets. Even when income is stable, lenders can struggle to verify it quickly and safely.

By adding OnlyFans as a verified source, Cr3dentials is betting that more lenders will treat creator revenue like other platform-native income, such as marketplace sales or ride-hailing earnings. If lenders get comfortable with this data, it could expand access to consumer credit for creators who are currently excluded.

It also points to a broader shift in credit infrastructure. Verification providers are moving beyond banks and payroll systems, and toward the places people actually earn online.
