## Content

## In Short
Banque Atlantique Côte d’Ivoire has launched its 2026 to 2027 coffee and cocoa campaign in Abidjan. The bank says it will expand financing and support for players across the value chain.

## What Happened
On September 29, Banque Atlantique Côte d’Ivoire kicked off its 2026 to 2027 coffee-cocoa campaign in Abidjan. The announcement was published on October 13, 2026.

The event brought together key industry stakeholders. It was held in the presence of Naziha Belkeziz, CEO of the pan-African Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) Group.

Banque Atlantique Côte d’Ivoire says it plans to strengthen how it supports the sector, building on last season’s momentum and using BCP’s backing. The focus is practical financing tied to how the coffee and cocoa trade works, including seasonal cycles and export timelines.

The bank listed several areas of support. These include campaign and collection financing, which covers buying cocoa and coffee from farmers and cooperatives during the season. It also includes pre-financing, which is upfront funding to start operations before sales cash comes in.

Other support includes storage financing, which helps pay for warehouses and holding inventory until prices or shipping schedules are favorable. Banque Atlantique Côte d’Ivoire also said it will support exporters and finance investments, including projects that increase local processing.

A key part of the plan is a specialised internal team called the “Desk Agri”. In simple terms, it is a dedicated unit that structures agribusiness loans around farming and commodity trading realities.

## Why It Matters
Cocoa and coffee are central to Côte d’Ivoire’s economy, and the sector depends heavily on working capital. Better access to structured financing can reduce supply chain bottlenecks, improve trade flows, and help businesses manage price and timing risk.

The emphasis on local processing finance also aligns with a wider push to keep more value in-country. That can mean more jobs and more stable revenue for processors, logistics firms, and exporters.

For founders and operators building tools for agriculture, trade finance, and commodity logistics, the signal is clear. Banks are still prioritising real economy sectors where credit products can be anchored to predictable cash cycles and export demand.
