## Content

## In Short
- 3C Coding School raised $3 million in seed funding.
- The round was led by MRG Economic Group, with participation from Amr Saad and strategic angels.
- The Egypt-based edtech plans to expand into Saudi Arabia and invest in an AI-powered learning platform.

## What Happened
3C Coding School, an Egypt-based edtech startup focused on coding education, has raised $3 million in a seed round. It is the company’s first outside institutional funding in around 10 years.

The round was led by MRG Economic Group, which is headed by Egyptian businessman Mahmoud Ramadan. Investor Amr Saad and a group of strategic angel investors also joined.

The startup says the new capital will support three priorities. First is expansion into Saudi Arabia. Second is upgrading its technology infrastructure, which usually means more reliable servers, better learning tools, and stronger data systems. Third is building out an AI-powered learning platform, meaning software that uses machine learning to adjust lessons based on how each student is doing.

3C Coding School was founded in 2015 by Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf. It offers programmes for children and young people across web and mobile development, data science, AI, machine learning, game development, and cybersecurity. The company says it has served more than 120,000 students and recorded a 230% increase in revenue over time.

## Why It Matters
Egypt is seeing a heavy share of Africa’s disclosed edtech deals in 2026. This round is also one of the larger public edtech raises this year, behind only Enko Education’s $22 million.

Saudi Arabia is a common next step for Arabic-language education companies. The market has growing demand for digital skills training, plus government and private sector spending linked to economic diversification.

If 3C’s personalised learning tooling works at scale, it could improve completion rates and outcomes, which are key challenges for online skills training. It could also raise the bar for regional edtech platforms competing on student support, curriculum depth, and measurable progress tracking.
