## About the product

SkillConnect is a Lagos-first marketplace for people planning weddings, birthdays, and corporate events, and for creative professionals who want to get discovered, booked, and paid.

Key capabilities include:
- **Location-based discovery** that ranks creatives and jobs by distance, helping customers find vendors close to their event venue.
- **Creative profiles with portfolios and pricing**, so customers can review past work, compare services, and agree on job details before booking.
- **Secured in-app booking payments**, where the booking is funded through the platform and payment is released on the agreed terms once the job is delivered.
- **Ratings and reviews from completed bookings**, tying feedback to verified work done through the platform.

Available on **Web**, **Android** (Google Play), and **iOS** (App Store).

It targets event customers and creative vendors in Nigeria, including photographers, makeup artists, decorators, caterers, DJs, and MCs.

SkillConnect is notable for its Nigeria market focus with a stated **Lagos-first** rollout, and for operating under a registered Nigerian entity, **SkillConnect Ltd (RC 1661539)**, with an emphasis on keeping the portfolio, pricing, agreement, and payment record in one place for event bookings.
