The right choice depends on whether you want francophone live TV and replay, a pay-TV style channel bundle, sports match coverage, or music streaming instead of My NCI. My NCI is a web streaming platform for francophone viewers to watch NCI TV live and replay NCI programmes and shows online, primarily serving audiences in Côte d’Ivoire. People usually look for alternatives because My NCI is tied to one broadcaster and one main market, so it is limiting if you want a broader channel line-up, content that travels better outside Côte d’Ivoire, or a different type of streaming altogether (sports scores and alerts, or music and podcasts). Platform preference can matter too, some viewers want an app-first service or offline-friendly listening rather than a web-first TV companion. None of this makes My NCI a poor choice; it means the market now has specialists worth comparing. ## What to Compare When Choosing a My NCI Alternative - **Your content goal**: if you are replacing live TV and replay, compare pay-TV streamers like StarTimes; if you are switching to music, compare [Boomplay](https://liners.com/boomplay) or [Mdundo](https://liners.com/mdundo). - **Country availability**: check the service is available where you live and travel, My NCI is primarily tied to [Côte d'Ivoire](/countries/cote-divoire) while many alternatives are pan-African. - **Live channels vs on-demand**: services such as StarTimes focus on live channels, while music apps focus on on-demand catalogues. - **Subscription Management**: if you prefer a predictable paid plan, compare services built around subscription access like StarTimes. - **Offline-capable playback**: for low data usage, prioritise apps that support downloads for offline listening, for example Anghami is tagged Offline-Capable. - **Language and discovery**: francophone discovery matters if you want French UI, show metadata, and local trends, Match en Direct is explicitly French-language for sports. - **Device support**: confirm you can watch or listen on web, Android, or iOS depending on how you stream day to day. ## Pick by what you are trying to replace - **Closest switch for “TV channels at home”**: [StarTimes](https://liners.com/startimes), [CANAL+](/canalplus) and [AzamTV MAX](https://liners.com/azamtv-max) are built around live TV and subscription viewing. - **If you mainly want francophone sports follow-along**: Match en Direct is a French-language live scores, stats, and goal alerts option. - **If you are moving from TV to music and podcasts**: [Audiomack](https://liners.com/audiomack), [Boomplay](https://liners.com/boomplay), and [Mdundo](https://liners.com/mdundo) are better fits for streaming and discovery. - **Public broadcaster apps (country-specific)**: Rwanda Broadcasting Agency suits Rwanda audiences, and MBC Play is positioned around Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation.
