Crédit du Maroc is a Moroccan **bank and insurance** provider serving individuals, professionals, TPEs, enterprises, and private banking clients with accounts, financing, savings, and digital banking access. Founded in **1929** in Casablanca as a Crédit Lyonnais subsidiary, it was renamed **Crédit du Maroc** in 1966 under Morocco's post-independence banking reforms. Crédit Agricole absorbed Crédit Lyonnais in 2003 and held a majority stake until December 2022, when Moroccan conglomerate **Holmarcom Group** completed its acquisition of Crédit Agricole S.A.'s holding (raised to **78.7%** by June 2024).
