ClassroomIO is an **open-source learning management system (LMS)** for companies and training providers that run **customer education, partner onboarding, and employee training** from a single platform.

Key capabilities include:
- **AI-assisted course authoring** that turns internal docs, policies, and videos into course outlines, lessons, and quizzes with human review before publishing, plus an **AI teaching assistant** built into every lesson to answer learner questions.
- **Cohort-based learning** with goal-setting, team-level oversight, and progress tracking, alongside **compliance and certification tracking**: deadline monitoring, grace periods, renewal intervals, waivers, and branded certificates with custom IDs.
- **Multi-academy, multi-org setup** for separate Customer, Partner, and Internal academies, each with its own branding and custom domain (CNAME with SSL handled) under one login and bill, plus **course delivery in 10+ languages**.
- **Embeddable courses** via script tag for help centers or in-product experiences, and a **REST API, webhooks, JWT-based Token Auth** for signing users in from external apps, and an **MCP server** for AI-native course automation with clients such as Claude, Cursor, and Codex.

Available on **Web**, as a hosted product at app.classroomio.com or as a **self-hosted, AGPL-licensed open-source** deployment on infrastructure such as Docker, Railway, Coolify, Dokploy, or DigitalOcean, with configurable SMTP and object storage for self-hosters.
