## About the product

AcademiaGest is a cloud-based school management platform for schools in Benin, built for administrators and teachers who need faster grade processing, official report cards, and reliable parent communication.

Key capabilities include:
- **Automatic grade calculations** that apply **coefficients**, compute **averages**, and generate **class rank** as teachers enter marks (including **smartphone-based grade entry**).
- **Official PDF report cards and grade reports**, generated at the end of term for printing and signature.
- **WhatsApp automation for parents**, including **real-time alerts** for **absences and lateness**, plus **WhatsApp delivery of report cards** when results are ready.
- **Security and oversight tools** such as an **activity journal (audit log)** that records who changed a grade and when, plus **role-based access control** so teachers only see their own subjects.

Available on **Web (browser)**.

It primarily serves **school principals, administrators, censors, and teachers**, and supports **parents** through WhatsApp notifications without requiring an app.

Notable in the Benin and wider West African context, it is positioned as a locally designed, **paid** school platform with a simple annual price of **1,000 FCFA per student**, with **no installation fee** and claims of **secure cloud hosting with daily backups**.
